Sculpture
Sculptures informed by engineering and the world of Formula 1.

Practice
Born near Johannesburg, Alastair Gibson spent twenty-two years in motorsport, including fourteen in Formula 1. This technical experience now informs his distinctive sculptural practice.
In his studio near Oxford, he shapes carbon fibre and reuses Formula 1 components to create forms inspired by marine life. Each sculpture brings together movement, anatomical precision and engineering.
